Who fits which.
IDeaS is an established global enterprise revenue management system, owned by SAS Institute since 2008. Their public positioning centers on AI-powered automated rate optimization, with customers spanning hotel chains, independents, resorts, cruise lines, and casinos. Pricing is custom and quote-based — they don't publish tiers publicly.
Peaqplus is built for independent hotels and small groups (typically under ~500 rooms), with published pricing starting at €109/month. The platform layer is analytics + decisions + reporting on top of PMS data. The pricing engine is rule-based and transparent rather than autonomous AI — different design philosophy.
The two tools aren't strict alternatives — they target different scales and solve different problems. Some hotels evaluating both run them in parallel (IDeaS for rate decisions, Peaqplus for the analytical and decision layer); others choose one based on whether the rate engine or the analytics-and-decision layer is the higher priority right now.

The two tools can run side-by-side.
Both Peaqplus and IDeaS read from your PMS independently. They don't conflict, don't share data flows, and don't require migration from one to the other. If you're running IDeaS for pricing decisions today, adding Peaqplus for the analytical and decision layer is a parallel install — no rip-and-replace.
See where Peaqplus fits.
In our 45–60 minute walkthrough (length depends on how deep you want to go), we run Peaqplus on our live demo environment — a simulated property with data that moves day to day — and walk through the analytics and decision layer. If you currently run IDeaS, we show how the two tools can coexist. If you're evaluating IDeaS, we describe Peaqplus's positioning honestly — different category of tool, different question being answered.
