Who we are
Peaqplus is operated by Assist Intelligence Kft., based in Hungary. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the peaqplus.com website (visitor data, demo bookings, newsletter sign-ups, optional Academy progress sync), and as a data processor for hotel data on behalf of subscribing Customers (governed by the Data Processing Agreement).

Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to website visitors, demo bookers, prospects, and contacts. It does not cover hotel data processed on behalf of subscribing Customers — that data is governed by the Data Processing Agreement, with details on the Security & Privacy page.

What data we collect
- Information you give us — demo booking form fields (name, email, hotel name, role, PMS), newsletter signups, contact-form messages, and account credentials for paying Customers
- Information collected automatically — website analytics (IP address, browser, referring URL, pages viewed), session cookies, and server logs for security and performance
- Information from third parties — LinkedIn Insight Tag for paid-campaign attribution, customer-referral information from the sales pipeline

Why we collect it
Under GDPR Article 6, we rely on four lawful bases depending on the purpose:
- Contract — processing Customer data for service delivery (paying customers)
- Legitimate interest — website analytics, security, fraud prevention
- Consent — newsletter signup, marketing emails, non-essential cookies
- Legal obligation — tax records, compliance investigations

How we share data
We share personal data only with the sub-processors disclosed on the Security & Privacy page (hosting, email delivery, error monitoring). New sub-processors are communicated 30 days in advance. The Pulse AI provider receives only anonymized, non-personal data, so it is not a personal-data sub-processor — see "AI data processing" below.
- Legal disclosures (court orders, regulatory requirements) — required by law only
- Business transfers (acquisition, merger) — with prior notice to subjects
- What we do NOT share — advertising networks, data brokers, or AI training partners
Personal data stays within the EU/EEA — our hosting, email, and monitoring sub-processors are all EU-based. The Pulse AI provider (currently Anthropic, US-based) receives only anonymized, non-personal data, so no personal-data transfer to a third country takes place.

AI data processing (Pulse AI)
For Customers who subscribe to the optional Pulse AI module, a portion of hotel business data is sent to a third-party large-language-model (LLM) provider to generate AI summaries, insights, and decision-support outputs. The data is anonymized before it leaves the platform, so the AI provider receives no personal data and does not act as a GDPR sub-processor for personal data.
- Current AI provider — Anthropic PBC (United States). Peaqplus may change or add providers from among leading LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft), maintaining the same safeguards
- Anonymized data only — data sent to the AI provider never includes the hotel name or brand, guest personal data, booking identifiers, or staff names — only anonymized business and operational data (rates, revenue, occupancy, segments, forecasts)
- No model training — the AI provider's enterprise terms exclude using submitted data to train its models
- International transfer — because the data sent to the AI provider is anonymized and contains no personal data, its processing outside the EU does not constitute a transfer of personal data; personal data itself is not sent to the AI provider
Anonymization happens before any data leaves the platform. The AI provider sees patterns and numbers — never which hotel, guest, or staff member they belong to.

Academy progress sync (optional)
The Revenue Management Academy works with no sign-up — your progress is stored only in your own browser. If you optionally enter your email to sync progress across devices, we process that email and your learning progress on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- What we store — your email address, which lessons you completed (with quiz scores), and an optional display name you type onto your completion certificate
- How sign-in works — a one-time magic link sent to your email — no password. A sync token is then kept in your browser; we never store passwords, and the email is stored only to identify your progress
- Retention — kept until you delete it; inactive sync tokens are pruned automatically after about 18 months; magic links expire after 30 minutes
- No marketing use — the academy email is used only for progress sync — it is never added to a marketing list unless you separately subscribe to the newsletter
You stay in control: "Sign out on this device" stops syncing locally, "Delete my synced data" erases your email and progress from our server, and emailing privacy@peaqplus.com does the same. Never entering an email keeps the academy fully usable on your device alone.

Guide downloads (lead magnets)
Some of our guides (PDF) are delivered by email. When you request one, we process your email address and the answer you picked in the guide selector, on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- What we store — your email address, which guide you requested, the selector answer (your revenue-maturity stage) and the page language
- What it is used for — delivering the guide you asked for — and, because the guides are stage-matched, a possible one-to-one follow-up from our team relevant to that stage
- No automated marketing — requesting a guide does not subscribe you to a newsletter or an automated email series; any marketing emails would require a separate opt-in
- Retention — 24 months from last contact (same as demo leads)
Email privacy@peaqplus.com to have your download record erased. The guides' content is also available free without any email in the Revenue Management Academy.

How long we keep data
- Demo leads — 24 months from last contact
- Customer accounts — duration of the subscription + 7 years (tax compliance)
- Newsletter subscribers — until opt-out
- Anonymized analytics — indefinite
- Security logs — 6 months (rolling deletion)

Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access — request a copy of your data
- Right to rectification — we correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — we delete data when no longer required (subject to legal holds)
- Right to data portability — we provide your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object — object to legitimate-interest processing
- Right to withdraw consent — anywhere we relied on consent
- Right to lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority
Email privacy@peaqplus.com to exercise any right. Response within 30 days (extendable by 60 days for complex requests).

Cookies and tracking
We use four cookie categories: essential (always on), preferences, analytics, and marketing. By default, only essential cookies are set; the rest require your consent through the cookie banner on first visit. Your preferences are stored in a cookie and you can change them anytime through the footer link.
- Essential — session, authentication, security — required for the site to work
- Preferences — remembered language, theme, layout choices
- Analytics — Google Analytics (anonymized) and PostHog (privacy-friendly product analytics) — opt-in only
- Marketing — LinkedIn Insight Tag for paid-campaign measurement — opt-in only

Children's data
Peaqplus is a B2B service for hotel professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided personal data to us, contact privacy@peaqplus.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes are communicated by email to active Customers and via a website notice 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
