Who we are

Peaqplus is operated by Assist Intelligence Kft., based in Hungary. We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the peaqplus.com website (visitor data, demo bookings, newsletter sign-ups), and as a data processor for hotel data on behalf of subscribing Customers (governed by the Data Processing Agreement).

Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to website visitors, demo bookers, prospects, and contacts. It does not cover hotel data processed on behalf of subscribing Customers — that data is governed by the Data Processing Agreement, with details on the Security & Privacy page.

What data we collect

  • Information you give us — demo booking form fields (name, email, hotel name, role, PMS), newsletter signups, contact-form messages, and account credentials for paying Customers
  • Information collected automatically — website analytics (IP address, browser, referring URL, pages viewed), session cookies, and server logs for security and performance
  • Information from third parties — LinkedIn Insight Tag for paid-campaign attribution, customer-referral information from the sales pipeline

Why we collect it

Under GDPR Article 6, we rely on four lawful bases depending on the purpose:

  • Contract — processing Customer data for service delivery (paying customers)
  • Legitimate interest — website analytics, security, fraud prevention
  • Consent — newsletter signup, marketing emails, non-essential cookies
  • Legal obligation — tax records, compliance investigations

How we share data

We share personal data only with the sub-processors disclosed on the Security & Privacy page (hosting, AI providers, email delivery, error monitoring). New sub-processors are communicated 30 days in advance.

  • Legal disclosures (court orders, regulatory requirements) — required by law only
  • Business transfers (acquisition, merger) — with prior notice to subjects
  • What we do NOT share — advertising networks, data brokers, or AI training partners
International transfers (Anthropic, our AI sub-processor, is US-based) are covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

How long we keep data

  • Demo leads — 24 months from last contact
  • Customer accounts — duration of the subscription + 7 years (tax compliance)
  • Newsletter subscribers — until opt-out
  • Anonymized analytics — indefinite
  • Security logs — 6 months (rolling deletion)

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — request a copy of your data
  • Right to rectification — we correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — we delete data when no longer required (subject to legal holds)
  • Right to data portability — we provide your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to legitimate-interest processing
  • Right to withdraw consent — anywhere we relied on consent
  • Right to lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority

Cookies and tracking

We use four cookie categories: essential (always on), preferences, analytics, and marketing. By default, only essential cookies are set; the rest require your consent through the cookie banner on first visit. Your preferences are stored in a cookie and you can change them anytime through the footer link.

  • Essential — session, authentication, security — required for the site to work
  • Preferences — remembered language, theme, layout choices
  • Analytics — Google Analytics (anonymized) and PostHog (privacy-friendly product analytics) — opt-in only
  • Marketing — LinkedIn Insight Tag for paid-campaign measurement — opt-in only

Children's data

Peaqplus is a B2B service for hotel professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided personal data to us, contact privacy@peaqplus.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes are communicated by email to active Customers and via a website notice 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
