Competitor Offers

A price tells you where you stand. An offer tells you what you're up against.

Competitor Offers gathers the deals your competitors are running right now on their own websites — early-bird, free nights, 3-for-4, spa packages — into one board, hotel by hotel. The promotions they use to win the direct booking, where the OTA price can't show you.

It's the complement to the rate. The Pricing Calendar tells you what a competitor charges on a given night; Competitor Offers tells you what they're offering to pull the guest onto their own site, commission-free. One screen for every competitor's current play.

Signal, not price

The rate is only half the truth.

A competitor can sit above you on raw price and still take the booking — because the number on the OTA isn't the offer. A high list rate can hide a "stay 4, pay 3" on their own site, or a free night, or a package that folds in dinner and spa.

Compare on price alone and you'd misread the market. Competitor Offers gives you the other axis: the deal mechanics your competitors use to move demand onto their direct channel — the layer the OTA rate never shows.

Why it matters
  • The Pricing Calendar answers "how much" — this answers "with what"
  • A high list price can hide a 3-for-4 or a free night
  • Direct-channel promotions — the play the OTA rate can't reveal
  • Price comparison on its own would have misled you

The mechanic is the message

Early-bird, free night, 3-for-4, package.

The heart of a deal is its mechanic, not its price — and often the price isn't even on the page. "Book by June 30" or "stay 7, pay 6" or "kids stay free" is the carrier of the information. Competitor Offers reads each promotion down to that mechanic and shows it as a clear, colour-coded tag.

One offer can carry several at once — a free night and a minimum stay, an early-bird and a spa add-on — and each shows as its own chip. New kinds of promotion appear on their own, with nothing to configure.

The deal types you'll see
  • Early-bird · free night · stay-X-pay-Y · % off
  • Value-add (spa, dinner, experience) · seasonal · voucher · loyalty
  • Several mechanics on one offer — each its own chip
  • A new kind of deal shows up on its own — nothing to set up

Bookable-until · stay dates

How long it's bookable. What it's for.

Two dates decide whether an offer matters to you today, and they mean very different things — so Competitor Offers keeps them apart. How long the deal can still be booked (the deadline) is one thing; which stay period it targets (the season) is another.

Mix them and you'd draw the wrong conclusion. Read separately, they tell you both how much time you have to respond, and which season your competitor is going after.

  • Bookable-until — the deadline; respond before it pulls the early demand
  • Stay dates — which season they're targeting, so you can time yours
  • Several stay periods per offer — each with its own minimum nights
  • Where they show a price, it's flagged — not an OTA night to compare to

Free text, made comparable

AI reads their offer pages so you don't have to.

Every hotel words its promotions differently, in free-flowing marketing copy on pages built however they like. Reading them by hand — competitor by competitor, week after week — is exactly the kind of work that quietly never gets done.

Competitor Offers reads those pages for you and turns the prose into one consistent, comparable map: the mechanic, the dates, the price where there is one. And every offer keeps a link to the original page, so you can check the signal yourself.

How the signal is built
  • Free-text offer pages → one consistent, comparable map
  • Reads across your tracked competitors, refreshed for you
  • Source link on every offer — verify it on their page
  • Built on the competitor monitoring you already have — no new setup

What you do with it

From a board to a decision.

The offer board isn't a curiosity — it's an input to the rate you set this week. Three of the moves it makes possible:

01
Catch the early-bird wave

When the competitive set starts opening early-bird deals for the summer, you see it as it happens — and respond before it pulls the early demand onto their books instead of yours.

Reads the booking deadline
02
Match the play, not just the price

A competitor offsets a high list rate with a 3-for-4. On price alone you'd think you were winning. With the offer in view, you compete on equal terms — your own package, your own mechanic.

Reads the mechanic
03
Win back the direct booking

When they pile spa and dinner onto the direct channel to dodge OTA commission, the strategy is visible. You decide whether to follow with your own value-add — and keep the margin.

Part of competitor monitoring, read by Pulse AI.

Competitor Offers is a Pulse AI capability on top of competitor monitoring — available where both are switched on. The hotels on the board are the competitors you already track; add one and its offers appear automatically. Book a demo to see your competitive set's current promotions on a live board.
